Hey I'm from Korea and I did exactly the same thing as you did. The install runs just fine, and says that DirectX has been installed, but even after restarting Windows, dxdiag shows my DirectX version to still be 0.0 (0.00.0000.0000). When I've done those entry it was a little better but the directx installation stacked after lets say 1 minute.
